What are the 2026 event dates? Scare Valley’s 2026 season runs October 9 through November 1.Open nights: October 9–11, October 16–18, October 23–25, October 29–31, November 1
Where is Scare Valley Located? Kern County Fairgrounds, 1142 S P Street, Bakersfield, CA 93307.
Is Scare Valley family-friendly? Not recommended for children age 12 and under because of graphic content and intense effects.
Can I wear a costume, mask, or face paint? No masks or full-face paint. Masks must be removed before entering the attraction.
Do online tickets get me in faster? No.
What time does the ticket booth open? The ticket booth will open at 7:15 PM.
Where do I enter? Enter through Gate 31 off Belle Terrace.
Will large groups stay together? Large parties may be divided into groups of six or fewer before entering.
Can I bring a weapon or prop weapon? No real or fake weapons.
Are there service fees? Online ticket purchases are subject to an additional service fee. The exact fee will be displayed during checkout.
What time do the haunts begin? As soon as it is dark enough to operate.
How much is parking? $5 per vehicle.
Will the actors touch me? No. Actors will not touch guests, and guests must not touch actors.
Can I bring a flashlight? No flashlights inside the haunts.
Do you offer refunds or exchanges? All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
What haunts are open this year? Blackridge Asylum and Wicked Dark
Are the haunts Wheelchair accessible? Yes, we have some bumpy paths and have someone available to assist if needed. Both Wicked Dark and Blackridge have wheelchair-friendly routes.
What if I get too scared and need to leave? Tell a staff member or actor and they will guide you out safely.
Can I carry, push or pull another guest through the haunt? No. Every guest must be able to walk through independently. Accessibility accommodations are made for guests that need assistance.
What is and how much is a Fast Pass? Fast Passes are $10 per haunt and give you access to the faster-entry line.
Is Scare Valley scary? Fear is personal, and every guest reacts differently. Scare Valley is designed to deliver an intense, entertaining, and safe haunted house experience with live actors, loud sounds, lighting effects, and some intense scenes.

Can I take photos or videos? Photos are welcome outside the haunts. Photography and video are prohibited after entering an attraction.
What effects and conditions should I expect? Live actors, loud sounds, lighting effects, low visibility, violence, intense subject matter, some uneven flooring.
Can I upgrade my ticket? Yes, you can purchase additional add-ons at the ticket booth.
Are food and drinks available? Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Snacks and drinks are available on-site.
Is merchandise available? Scare Valley merchandise is available at the on-site shop.
